Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. The family moved to Miami at two years old. Ana Maria Polo, born in Habana Cuba was the host of the famous Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado", which was the first Spanish programming to win a Daytime Entertainment Emmy (r). Following her graduation the Florida International University's Political science program, she relocated to Havana where she stayed for twenty years. After obtaining her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for nearly 20 years.
