Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in the city of Havana, Cuba. The family moved to Miami at two years old. Ana Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana Cuba and moved with her family to Miami at the age of two. Ana Maria Polo, born in Habana Cuba was the host of the famous Telemundo program "Caso Cerrado", which was the first Spanish programming to win a Daytime Entertainment Emmy (r). In 2015, she ranked number one on the list of Spanish at 4pm in the most important demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. Following her graduation the Florida International University's Political science program, she relocated to Havana where she stayed for twenty years. After obtaining her PhD from the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for nearly 20 years. In the end, she obtained her PhD in law at The University of Miami and practiced law for over 20 years in the city of Miami. Polo first made her appearance on TV in 2001 on Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She was also a part of courts shows which tapped into her experience. She's been an avid advocate of LGBT rights for the majority of her professional career. She received her law degree from her University of Miami School of Law in 1987 and is an attorney in the Florida Bar.
