Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha also known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a popular British stage and film actress that gained fame after she starred in the 'Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) show that aired on the BBC channel. Handler was 19 when she made the decision to relocate in Los Angeles and pursue acting. Handler was a professional actress to support her. Handler aged 21 years of age and decided to pursue stand-up comedy full time after discovering her storytelling skills. Handler started her stand-up career on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly which was a reality program with an in-camera hidden camera and a practical comedy. It was in air from 2002 until 2005. The handler then began appearing in several other shows like Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler started working as a correspondent on The Tonight Show as a reporter. Her breakthrough came in 2006, when she was able to host her own show on E! The Chelsea Handler Show. The show lasted 2 seasons. Following the show, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have aired her stand-up performance. In 2010 she was selected for the role of host at 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. With this, she became the second woman in history to host VMA's after Roseanne Barr.
